Pastor Bob Bishard
Appointed in July 2010 to Young’s Church,
Pastor Bob has a passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God and proclaiming salvation through Jesus Christ.
His life application sermons are evangelistic, inspiring, and help bring the Word to life.
Pastor Bob helps lead worship, plays the guitar, is a tenor in the Young’s choir, plays in the Bell Choir, teaches Sunday School, leads Bible Studies and many other spiritual enrichment opportunites here at Young’s Church.
Bob has been a self-employed business owner since 1978. He is a former president of the PA State Sunday School Association and continues to serve as a board member of the PSSSA. In 2025 Bob is PSSSA Chairman of the Board.
He has served as a trustee, former president, and editor for the Seven Mountains Bluegrass Association and has helped to promote bluegrass music throughout Central Pennsylvania.
Formerly with the Grace Notes and Stringtowne Trio, Bob plays guitar, sings lead and tenor vocals in an eclectic mix of Gospel and acoustic string music.
Bob is a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association - Tribe of David Chapter. He is a member of the Harley Owners Group and serves as Chaplain of the local chapter - CV HOG'S sponsored by Appalachian Harley Davidson.
Bob is an avid hunter, and enjoys fishing, as time allows, gardening, and enjoys time spent in the great outdoors of Perry and Cumberland counties.
